Celtic Fest at Belle Mont returns May 10

Three years ago, a new event hosted at Belle Mont Mansion was founded — Celtic Fest.

The festival sought to highlight aspects of the Celtic heritage, including music and crafts.

Now in its fourth year, the 2025 Celtic fest held on May 10 will bring back several acts familiar to festival goers in the past.

“Many beloved favorites will be returning to the festival, including bands like the Piper Jones Band, Chambless & Muse and Alabama Pipes and Drums,” according to Site Director Laura Emily Everitt in a release for the event. “Many of our wonderful vendors and food trucks will also be returning to the festival, to sell their crafted items in a Celtic theme.”

The Seán Heely Band, featuring champion fiddle player Seán Heely, will headline this year’s event. The Washington, D.C.-based band has performed all over the world.

Also being welcomed in this year will be guests from the Tennessee Valley Scottish Society, who will be providing information about their ancestry and matching people with their own Scottish clans.

“Children and parents alike will enjoy our dedicated kids’ tent, where children can color, blow bubbles, get prizes and make their own fairy houses. A Highland cow will also be on sight,” Everitt said.

On May 9 form 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. there will be a free museum day where visitors can see demonstrations, performances and programs in and around Belle Mont Mansion meant to raise awareness and interest in the festival.

Tickets to the Festival are on sale now on Eventbrite. Tickets bought on Eventbrite are available at a discounted cost. They can also be purchased at the gate, day-of.

Gates to the 2025 Belle Mont Celtic Fest will open at 9 a.m. for the public. Music will start at 10 a.m., and the festival is set to conclude around 5:30 p.m.

“The 2025 Belle Mont Celtic Fest is sure to be the best one yet. We hope to see everyone there,” Everitt said.
