Jan. 18 arrest reports

The following arrests were made by the Colbert County Sheriff’s Office:

— On Jan. 10, Karaikis M. Rooks, 35, was arrested and charged with second-degree possession of marijuana. According to Deputy Hunter White’s report, he conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of N Montgomery and S Jackson streets for improper lane usage and no working tag lights. Upon making the stop, White allegedly smelled the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. A search of the vehicle yielded a drink bottle containing a green leafy substance identified as 3 grams of marijuana.
