Treacie Jane

Robison

Ham, 86

Treacie Jane Robison, beloved mother of Rhoda Lee, Kelly Jo, Julie Ann, and Mark Alan, passed away on December 31, 2024. She was 86.

Jane was born September 3, 1938 in Sheffield, Alabama to Henry Hollis Robison and Sara Emma Gene (Williams) Robison. Except for short periods of time in New Jersey and Ohio, Jane spent her childhood and teen years in Sheffield dreaming of travel, one of the many things she enjoyed throughout her life. She was born to road trip; her first being from Alabama to California and her last from Arizona to Florida. She traveled for work, pleasure, family, or vacation throughout many of the states in this country, as well as Greece, Turkey, India, Mexico and Japan. Even cruises took her to foreign ports. Hawaii captured her heart though. Her absolute favorite place; she always wanted to return there. Jane was an avid reader, keeping lists of her favorite authors in her purse, along with any number of library cards. She always had a book right beside her; her favorite genre- crime/detective novels.

Jane loved working in various artistic mediums- from knitting and crocheting to sewing and rug hooking, from candle making and pottery, to painting and needlepoint. If it involved the creative use of her hands, she’d have happily tried it.

But she was truly in love with cross stitch, completing well over 300 pieces in her lifetime, an accomplishment that many of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren are proud to have benefited from. She was published in one of her favorite cross stitch magazines in 2018, celebrating her 80th birthday. Oriental pieces, florals, and ladies in fine dresses would always catch her eye the most, but she was known for cross stitching a wide variety of pieces that she knew would appeal to her family.

Jane was not only a gifted artist, a wife and mother. At various times in her life, she was a secretary, a bookkeeper, a bartender, a pilot, and a real estate agent.

Married three times, Jane had four children, all of whom survive her- Rhoda Lee, Kelly Jo (Craig), Julie Ann (Mike), and Mark Alan (Kelley). She is also survived by her brother Wayne, her grandchildren Melonie (Ken), Sabrina (Dan), Ryan (Randa), Randy (Lauren), Tresa (Kristifor), Ericka, Christina and Sarah (Tommy); her great grandchildren Gary (Courtney), Charlie, Emma (Ezekiel), Morgan, Quinn, Sloane, Henry, Caleb, Blake, Murdoch, Cooper, and Norah; and her great-great grandchildren Theodore, Bowie, and Samuel.

She is preceded in death by her father and mother, her granddaughter Sammie, her grandson David, and her great-great grandson Dawnovan.

Jane loved staying in touch with family and friends and we know she’d want to be remembered by the remaining Robison cousins and related families originally (or still presently) from Russellville; also her aunts’ daughters, Ann and Nancy, and her dear friends Kim and Billy.

We will always treasure the memories, Mom, and retell all of your stories.
