Nov. 23 arrest reports

The following arrests were made by the Colbert County Sheriff’s Office:

— Nov. Terry E. McBrayer was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. According to Deputy Hunter White’s affidavit, he was patrolling the area of Frankfort Road and Underwood Mountain Road when he ran a tag on a vehicle that allegedly had been switched. After performing a traffic stop, the driver consented to a search of the vehicle. The search 2 grams of a crystal-like substance in a baggie identified as methamphetamine.

— Nov. 14, Derrick E. Bates was arrested and charged with first-degree possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. According to Deputy Christopher Miller’s affidavit, he made a traffic stop at 2nd Street and Peppi Drive for failure to maintain lane. Upon making the stop, a strong odor of marijuana was alleged to be coming from the vehicle. Before stopping, the driver threw out two baggies of marijuana. Approximately 27 grams of marijuana were recovered.
