Mildred “Moe” Lee Puckett, 68

Mildred “Moe” Lee Puck­ett, 68, Muscle Shoals, passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2024. Visitation will be Saturday, October 12, from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral ser­vice will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel with Marty Evans, Bruce Blankenship, and Chloe Hall officiating. Interment will be in Cherokee Memorial Park.

Moe was a member of River Road Church of Christ and a loving and devoted Christian wife and mother who loved her grandchildren beyond measure. She was a pro at word search puz­zles and loved watching her cooking shows and eating anything lemon-flavored.

Moe is survived by her loving husband of for­ty-nine years, Charles Puck­ett; daughters, Mary Ann McGee (Kevin), Amanda Wilkinson (Wayne), and Lisa Harvey (Matt); brother, Johnny Davis; sisters, Helen Laster and Maria Johnson; grandchildren, Billy Mc­Gee, Charles McGee, Chloe Hall, Jackson Hall, Savan­nah Allen, Levi Cox, Nathan Smith, and Lacey Allen; and great-grandchildren, Dalton, Tatum, and Eliana.

Moe’s grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.

The family offers special thanks to Christy Presley with Home Health Care and to the entire hospice care team at Compassus Hospice.

Terry Angie Ayers, 79

Terry Angie Ayers, 79, Sheffield, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2024. Visitation will be Wednes­day, October 9, from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. A memorial service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel with Dwight Rivers officiating.

Angie was a member of Pride Missionary Baptist Church, Tuscumbia. She was preceded in death by her hus­band, Dalton Ayers; parents, Salem and Donnie Williams; brothers, Buddy Williams, Billy Williams, Gene Wil­iams, and Doyle Williams; and sister, Betty Burleson.

Angie is survived by her children, Tim Ayers and Randal Ayers (Paula); broth­er, Donald Williams; sisters, Wanetta Jean and Shirley Merkel; and grandchil­dren, Gage Ayers, Paizlee Ayers, and Xavier Dortch.

Marjorie Helen Bryson, 89

Marjorie Helen Bryson, 89, of Florence, passed away, Sunday, October 6, 2024. Visitation will be Fri­day, October 11, 2024 from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at Morrison Funeral Home, Central Heights. The fu­neral service will imme­diately begin with Donny Young officiating. Interment will be at Central Heights Community Cemetery.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Willie L. Gris­som and Robert E. Grissom; sister, Bobbie A. Landini; daughter, Sheila L. Duncan.

Marjorie is survived by her children, Stephanie Brit­nell, Shelaine Albert, Sher­ry Copher, Tony Duncan, and Bobby Duncan; sister, Brenda Upton; 7 grandchil­dren; 8 great- grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Teman Willis Knight, 84

Teman Willis Knight, Jr., 84, Tuscumbia, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2024. Visitation will be Thursday, October 10, from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Morri­son Funeral Home, Tuscum­bia. The funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Teman Knight, III, and Pastor Scott Livingston of­ficiating. Interment will be in Cherokee Memorial Park.

Teman was a member of Valdosta Baptist Church, Tuscumbia, He was a long­time member of First Baptist church, Bogalusa, LA, serv­ing as Deacon for forty-six years. Teman was a leader of the Royal Ambassadors for thirty years and leader of the Baptismal Commit­tee for forty years. He was a military veteran, serving with the US Navy. Teman worked in various capacities in print shops for forty-sev­en years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Teman W. Knight, Sr. and Yvone E. Pickard; sisters, Mary Ewell, Mildred Jenkins, Joyce Spillman, and Sarah Hunt.

Teman is survived by his wife, Brenda Lee Knight; children, Dr. Teman Knight, III (Darlana), Denny Knight (Ron), and Shari Knight Ter­rell (Ben); grandchildren, Jay Knight (Leigh), Alana Robinette (Jake), Frank­ie Terrell (Cara), and Alex Terrell; and great-grand­children, Trynaty Lar­kins, Adam, Wyatt, and Eliana Knight, and Evie and Bennett Robinette.

Pallbearers will be Ben Terrell, Austin Under­wood, Denny Knight, Ron Rutherford, Jay Knight, and Jake Robinette.

In lieu of flowers, dona­tions may be made to Val­dosta Baptist Church, Tus­cumbia, or Heritage Baptist Church, Montgomery, AL.

Ricky Harold Aycock, 69

Ricky Harold Aycock, 69, Tuscumbia, passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2024. Visitation will be Saturday, October 12, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will be Sunday, October 13, in the funeral home chapel begin­ning at 2:00 p.m. with Mark Mayfield and Ronnie Poag officiating. Interment will be in Glendale Cemetery.

Ricky was a devoted and loving father, husband, and POP!! He was a hard worker, a handy-man, and a Jack-of-all-trades. He loved working in his chicken houses and screen-printing T-shirts. And his love for coaching base­ball goes without question. His love and knowledge for the game of baseball was infinite. Ricky loved coach­ing and the opportunity to teach a life lesson while coaching was just one of his many amazing attributes as a human being. But the most amazing thing about Ricky, and the most important thing to him, was to make sure to tell your loved ones you love them and to make sure you tell them about Jesus. Ricky had a cheerful spirit. When he walked in the room, he made everyone smile and made a room brighter. “We love you, Ricky – Dad – Pop, and your smile, love, and compassion will be missed!”

Ricky was preceded in death by his son, Ricky Caleb Aycock; his par­ents, Harold and Betty Aycock; and his father-in-law, Harold Dawson.

He is survived by his wife of forty years, Shelia Aycock; children, Josh­ua Harold Aycock (Haley) and Kayla Victoria Aycock; brothers, Derek Aycock; sister, Carla Aycock; moth­er-in-law, Betty Dawson; grandchildren, C.J. Aycock, Bryan Aycock, Nicole Aycock, Amber Aycock, Ayden Aycock, Braxton Aycock, Waylon Aycock, and Hannah Grace Aycock; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Josh Aycock, Ryan Headrick, Corey Headrick, Justice Aycock, Garrett Sum­mers, Mark Flanagan, Joey Isbell, Tommy How­ard, Ayden Aycock, and Braxton Aycock. Greg Flanagan, Mack Single­ton, Ashley Freeman, Blake Freeman, Brandon Freeman, Tyrone Low­ery, Tony Crosswhite, and Brandon Briley will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Charles Keith Franks, 69

Charles Keith Franks, 69, Cherokee, passed away on Sunday, Octo­ber 6, 2024. No services will be held at this time.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Louise Franks; and sisters, Sharon Franks Thorne and Wanda Franks Applegate.

He is survived by his son, Charles Bradley Franks; brothers, Richard “Ricky” Franks (Guwana) and An­thony “Andy” Franks (Jer­emi); sisters, Marilyn Rod­dy (Mike) and Tina Cadle (Jeremy); grandchildren, Destanee Hunt (Jesse) and Dalton Franks; great-grand­son, David Hunt; and special friend, Betty Ann Taylor.

William Joe

McCorkle, 81

William Joe McCorkle, 81, Tuscumbia, passed away at home on Sunday, Octo­ber 13, 2024, surrounded by family and loved ones. Visitation will be Wednes­day, October 16, from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel with Jerry Rea officiating. Inter­ment will be in Colbert Me­morial Gardens, Tuscumbia.

Joe was a veteran of the Alabama Army National Guard, serving for thir­ty-eight years. He was a graduate of Deshler High School and a member of First Southern Baptist Church. Joe was a diehard Alabama Crimson Tide fan and an avid Nascar fan. He was also very active in his com­munity. After retiring from insurance as a salesman, he worked for Long Lewis Ford as a shuttle driver and started a retiree breakfast for the 115th Signal Bat­talion. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Ford E. and Bessie Alexander Mc­Corkle; Barbara E. McCork­le, the mother of his chil­dren; son, Chris McCorkle; brother, Steve McCorkle; and brothers-in-law, John Smelley and Richard Sharp.

Joe is survived by his wife, Marie McCorkle; daughter, Jo’el McCorkle Steger (Andy); stepsons, Michael Montgomery (Meg) and Doug Montgomery (Lori); brother, Dalton E. McCorkle (Renee); sisters, Kaye Smelley and Phyl­lis Sharp; granddaugh­ter, Rebecca M. Wasson; step-grandchildren, Zoe Montgomery, Max Mont­gomery, Luke Montgomery (Holly), Landon Montgom­ery, and Savannah Boyd (Tanner); and several niec­es, nephews, and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Zach Wynn, Jeff Wynn, Kyle Bragwell, Tom Sartain, Trey Martin, and Jimmy Black. Honorary pallbearers will be Jose “Pepe” Ruiz, Ran­dy Ozbirn, David Childers, Donnie Claunch, Wesley Willis, and Roger Presley.

The family offers special thanks to Enhabit Home Health and Hospice, espe­cially Leigh, Kayla, and Toni.

Pamela J. Moore, 67

Pamela J. Moore, 67, Leighton, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2024. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 15, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel with Chris Barnett officiating. Interment will be in Oak­wood Cemetery, Sheffield.

Pamela worked at Walmart for over twenty years. She enjoyed play­ing bingo and crocheting. She loved her animals, but she especially loved her family. Pamela was pre­ceded in death by her par­ents, Rayford and Mildred Aday; sister, Trudy Harri­son; and brothers, Jimmy Aday and Willard Weems.

She is survived by her hus­band, Lonnie Moore; chil­dren, Julie Jones and Kyle Moore (Brittney); brothers, Jerry Aday, John Aday, and David Aday; sister, Sandra White; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of aunts, un­cles, nieces, and nephews.

Emily Brooke Cain Collins, 45

Emily Brooke Cain Collins, 45, Tuscumbia, passed away on Wednes­day, October 9, 2024. A memorial service will be held Sunday, October 13, at Spring Park, Tuscum­bia, beginning at 3:00 p.m.

Emily was preceded in death by her parents, Di­ane Cain and David Cain.

She is survived by her daughters, Caitlyn Day and Kristen Collins; sister, Meagan Cain; aunts, Bob­bie Hatton, Carroll Murner, Amy Stover, and Beth Mash­burn; and special friend, Lee Cook and his sons, Aid­en Cook and Avery Cook.

William Larry Mauldin, 82

William Larry Mauldin, age 82, of Muscle Shoals, AL, took his last breath from this earthly life on Fri­day, October 11, 2024. As a Christian he passed with dignity with his eyes fo­cused on Heaven. His fam­ily will receive friends for visitation Thursday, October 17, 2024 from 1-2pm at Col­bert Memorial Chapel. His funeral will begin at 2pm in the funeral home chapel with Derek Washington offi­ciating. Burial will follow in Colbert Memorial Gardens.

Larry grew up in Colbert Heights and had a good, successful career building, servicing, and maintaining America’s power plants as a second-generation Union Boilermaker. More than that, though, he was a kind and gentle soul that loved very easily. He made many friends and influenced so many people across this nation. He will be missed dearly by so many. He was popularly known as “Un­cle Larry” to dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Evelyn Marie Mauldin; brother, Phillip C. Mauldin; brothers-in-law, Jerry Quinn, and Eugene Arnold; stepson, Mitchell Askew; and grand­daughter, Haley Mauldin.

William is survived by the mother of his child, Betty Mauldin; his son, Bryant Mauldin; stepdaugh­ters, Wendy King, and Kim Askew; grandsons, Aaron Mauldin, Raymond Askew; brother, Mike Mauldin (Cindy); sisters, Pat Quinn, and Jayne Arnold; nieces, Dawn Quinn, and Heather Quinn; nephews, Britton Mauldin, Brandon Mauldin, Jeff Arnold, Craig Maul­din (Cindy), and Gene Ar­nold; and many cousins.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

The family gives a spe­cial thank you to every­one who reached out for your prayers and support as he fought a noble bat­tle with his health over the last months of his life.

Marvin Norman Woodruff, 80

Marvin Norman Wood­ruff, 80, of Sheffield, passed away Saturday, October 12, 2024. Arrangements will be announced by Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia.

Marvin was a native of Decatur, AL but lived most of his life in the Shoals area. He was pre­ceded in death by his wife, Mary Sue Woodruff; par­ents, Tommy Sr. and Rose Woodruff; and 5 siblings.

Marvin is survived by his daughter, Patricia Woodruff; brother, Bob­by Woodruff, Sr.; sister, Dorothy Mixon; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
