Judy Elaine Scott Jones, 80

On April 1st, 2026 the world lost the beautiful and talented Judy Elaine Jones. After celebrat­ing her 80th birthday on March 31st with family and friends, she took her leave of this world. She left behind a beautiful legacy of her four chil­dren: John Gregg (Mau­ra), Jacqueline Laird (Jimmy), Julianna Mann (Mitch), and Jennifer Cox (Jay Crowe). Also, ten grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, her broth­er, Gary Yielding, sister Ann Young, and several fabulous works of art. She joins her mother, Lorene, Father, Wes Yielding, and two beautiful sisters, Rose McCarley and Wesley Mae Mayfield. Her chil­dren would like to invite all family and friends to come join them in a Cel­ebration of Life for Judy on: April 25 at 4p.m. at Montgomery Place 406 N. Montgomery Ave­nue, Sheffield, AL 35660

Annie Marie Weems, 86

Annie Marie Weems, 86, of Muscle Shoals, AL passed away on Wednes­day, April 8, 2026. Visita­tion will be Saturday, April 11, 2026 from 10 am- 12 pm at Colbert Memorial Chapel with a service to fol­low at 12 pm in the chapel. Grandson, Cory Seal and Shane Swinney will be of­ficiating. Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James K. Weems, Sr.; par­ents, Robert and Earlie Davenport; and brother, Hershel Davenport (Karen).

Annie was survived by her children, Suzanne Osborn (Jeff), James K. Weems, Jr. (Patsy), and Sta­cey Canup (Ricky); grand­children, Chase Terry, Cory Seal (Melanie), Jenifer Al­len (Blake), Tucker Geise (Erin), Laura Kate Robison (Scott), Whitney Alexander (Mason), Cody Alexander, Brooks Canup (Danielle), and Brylee Heathcock (Col­by); great grandchildren, Brodie, Kathryn, Olivia, El­sie Kate, Rivers, John, Em­ery, Olivia, Ridge, Lily, and Holly; sisters, Evon Rutland and Stella Bullion (Ed).

Family will serve as pallbearers.

Special thanks to Doc­tors, Nurse’s, and staff of Lauderdale Christian. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a long­time member of High­land Park Baptist Church.

Flanagan, 81

Clinton Coleman Fla­nagan, 81, of Leighton, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 6, 2026.

Clinton, known as Preacher, is survived by his son, Clifton Lydell Fla­nagan and wife Tena. He leaves behind several be­loved grandchildren, Cram­er (Reale), Tanner (Kayla), Hunter (Liz), Spencer (Bec­ca), Makayla Flanagan, and Miranda Tucker (Doug). He was blessed with ten great grandchildren.

Preacher was preceded in death by his son, Clin­ton Bennett Flanagan.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, April 10, 2026, at Shaw Cemetery.

Roden

Crawford, 74

“I go to prepare a place for you…that where I am, you may be also.”

Anita Diane Roden Crawford born Septem­ber 13, 1951 entered that place prepared for her on April 9, 2026.

Diane loved life and lived it to the fullest. Whether riding her favorite Har­ley, skiing the Tennessee River, cooking her family a delicious meal, or dec­orating for her favorite holiday, Christmas, she reached for that Golden Ring everyday of her life.

Diane graduated from Muscle Shoals High School in 1969 and was in the band and a majorette. She worked as a bank teller, real estate agent. Beauty Control con­sultant and hairdresser. She cherished her family and was always ready to trav­el to watch her grandchil­dren, great grandchildren, nephews and nieces and great nephews and nieces play ball, cheer, or cele­brate their achievements.

Diane leaves behind her two beloved children, Billy Ray Crawford and Shelia Crawford Starnes (Joe), Dallas Crawford, her mother and father, Earl and Nita Roden, her broth­er Wesley Roden (Randy), her precious grandchildren Joey, Josh (Alyssa), Bran­don and Isabella; nephew Dr. Chris Roden (Nicole) niece, Hollie Roden Peeden (Lee) sister-in-law, Twyla.

She was preceded in death by her broth­er Dewayne Roden.

She adored her three great grandchildren. She leaves behind a host of great nieces and nephews and family and friends, es­pecially Carl and Marie Lindke and her 4-legged companion “Scout”.

Per her wishes, there will be a private family gathering.

The family would like to thank the dedicated nurs­es and staff of Mitchell Hollingsworth and espe­cially the nurses of Ame­disys Hospice. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to The Caring Place or Muscle Shoals Liv­ing Center in her memory.

William Lloyd South, 67

William Lloyd South, 67, of Tuscumbia, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2026. A visita­tion will be held on Satur­day, April 11, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia.

William had a heart for people and loved everyone he met. He was preced­ed in death by his mother, Sandra South; and broth­ers, Mike South, David South, and Jamie Sutter.

William is survived by his wife, Catina South; daugh­ters, Amber South and San­dra South; parents, John and Catherine South; brothers, Ben South, Bo South, and Wayne Sutter; sister, Susan Schell; grandson, Mikey Yarbrough; sons-in-law, Drew Yarbrough and Day­lan Stanford; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family offers special thanks to the Colbert Heights Volunteer Fire Department.

Jeffrey Maurice Streit, 62

Jeffrey Maurice Streit, 62, of Muscle Shoals, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2026. A graveside ser­vice will be held on Friday, April 10, at Colbert Memo­rial Gardens, Tuscumbia, beginning at 2:00 p.m. with Chad Holder officiating.

Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Maurice Streit.

He is survived by his mother, Clara Nell Stre­it Sheffield; sister, Regina Evans (Wayne); nephews, Jody Evans and Jimmy Evans (Christy); great-niece, Blakely Evans; and great-nephews, Baker, Kayston, and Kylan Evans.

Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.

Linda Jane Puckett

Miller, 85

Linda Jane Puckett Miller, 85, of Maud, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2026. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 14, from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Cherokee. The fu­neral service will immedi­ately follow in the funeral home chapel with Steve Puckett and Steven Hodgin officiating. Burial will be at Maud Burns Cemetery.

Linda was a member of Maud Church of Christ where she was a part of the ladies’ class and was a member of the Maudboro Group. Linda was preced­ed in death by her parents, Albie Casey Puckett and Tressie Cornelius Puckett; brothers Herman Daniel Puckett (Simone Triboux Puckett), Richard Cal­vin Puckett, A.C. Puckett (Jane Goins Puckett), and Billy Mack Puckett; and stepmother, Vergie Mae Smelser Russell Puckett.

She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Nunon Ray Miller; chil­dren, Timothy Glenn Miller and Carla Jane Miller Allen; grandchildren, Lauren Faith Allen and Laken Grace Al­len; sisters-in-law, Libby Jean Choat Puckett and Eula Jean Mitchell Puckett; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Chad Durham, Hoyt DeVaney, Carl DeVaney, Michael Da­vid Smith, Chris Smith, and Joey Barrier. Honorary pall­bearers are Marcus Nun­ley, Sammy Johnson, A.C. Winchester, Harold Over­ton, and Cody Durham.

The family express­es special thanks to the staff of Hospice of North Alabama and her care­giver, Brittney Hamm.

Samuel Joseph Porter, 74

Samuel Joseph “Joe” Porter, 74, of Russellville, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2026. Visitation will be Friday, April 17, from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Russellville First Method­ist Church. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow at the church with Toby Chastain officiat­ing. A private interment will be in Franklin Mem­ory Gardens, Russellville.

Joe was a member of Russellville First Method­ist Church. He served as director of the Chamber of Commerce and was a member of Kiwanis, the Masons, and the Shriners. Joe worked as an insurance agent with Liberty National and Alfa Insurance Compa­nies. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Bryce and Exie Lee Mor­row Porter; and parents-in-law, Jack and Dot Atkins.

Joe is survived by his wife, Carolyn Atkins Por­ter; children, Joseph Daniel Grant Porter and Mary Anna Carol Porter; brother-in-law, Grant Atkins; sister-in-law, Beverly Atkins; nephews, John Atkins (Leeann) and David Atkins (Caroline); great-niece, Stella Atkins; and great-nephews, Kaden Atkins and Samson Atkins.

William Duard Inman, 81

William Duard Inman, 81, of Sheffield, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2026. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 15, from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Mor­rison Funeral Home, Tus­cumbia. A memorial service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel.

William was a veteran of the US National Guard and a member of First Bap­tist Church, Sheffield. He was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Mark Inman; mother, Margaret Inman; father, John Agee Inman; brother, Paul In­man; sister, Kathy Inman; Son-in-law, Dwight Ker­by; great-granddaughter, Adealynn Jane Lowery; and his beloved dog, Clyde.

William is survived by his wife, Mary Faye Inman; children, Dealynn Kerby and John Inman (Christy); Ashley Turner and Myris­sa Lowery; great-grand­children, Eli Bradley, Libby Bradley, Isabel Turner, and Alex Moody, and beloved dog, Rex.
