CCSO arrest reports for May 31
The following arrests were made by the Colbert County Sheriff’s Office in recent days:
— On May 20, Kevin B. Montgomery, was arrested and charged with Illegal possession of prescription drugs, second-degree possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. According to Deputy Luke Truitt’s report, during a traffic stop on U.S. 43 the vehicle’s tag was found to be switched and the driver, Montgomery, had felony warrants with CCSO. A search of the vehicle yielded a clear plastic bag containing a green, leafy substance later identified as marijuana, a clear plastic bag with a crystal-like substance identified as methamphetamine and a clear plastic bag containing multiple prescription pills, including Adderall. Also found in the vehicle were a pistol, digital scales, a pipe with residue, two prescription bottles and containers with more crystal-like substance.
— On May 19, Rhonda G. Moore, 46, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance. According to Deputy Christopher Miller’s report, during a traffic stop on WMF Gardiner the driver was found to have a felony warrant with CCSO. A search of the vehicle yielded a pill bottle containing methamphetamine, a bottle containing crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia.
— On May 15, Dennis E. Simpson, 61, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and attempting to elude. According to Deputy Hunter White’s report, deputies went to the 11000 block of Riverton Rose Trail in search of Simpson, who had multiple warrants. Simpson was seen on a porch but fled inside the residence but was found inside a bedroom closet. Found on Simpson’s person were two plastic baggies, inside one was methamphetamine residue. Found inside boxes in the closet were a large amount of narcotics
