CCSO arrest reports for April 26
The following arrest reports were made by the Colbert County Sheriff’s Office in recent days:
— On April 10, Kenneth E. Johnson, 66, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute. According to Deputy Christopher Miller’s report, he received notice a subject with outstanding warrants was allegedly traveling from Tuscumbia. Running the tag confirmed the registered driver had felony warrants. After making a traffic stop, a search of Johnson yielded 17.7 grams of a crystal like substance in a clear baggie. A scale with residue was found in the vehicle.
— On April 11, Rodolfo L. Rivera was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. According to Deputy Christopher Miller’s report, during a traffic stop for alleged speeding the odor of marijuana was coming from the vehicle. A search yielded a bag containing 2.7 grams of a crystal-like substance and a glass pipe with residue
— On April 12, David L. Gargus, 40, and Diane E. Gargus, were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. According to Deputy Hunter White’s report, a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle for no tag lights and an altered tag that allegedly had been painted over with black marker. A search of the vehicle was denied, but a department K9 alerted on a passenger door. A probable cause search of the vehicle yielded a small plastic baggie containing methamphetamine.
— On April 13, Kenneth C. Roden, 62, was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. According to Deputy Christopher Miller’s report, a traffic stop was initiated for improper lane usage. The driver allegedly exhibited suspicious behavior and denied a search of the vehicle. A K9 alerted on the driver door, and a probable cause search of the vehicle yielded a piece of aluminum foil with burn marks.
