Anna Dawn Hall, 31

Anna Dawn Hall, age 31, of Leighton, Alabama, passed away on July 6, 2026. Services will be private. Williams Funeral Home is assisting the family.

She is preceded in death by her father, Alan Hall and Wayne Corsbie; moth­er, Tara Dawn Hall; and grandmother’s, Jo Ann Hall and Melba Corsbie.

Anna is survived by her mother, Lisa Cors­bie; son, Nathaniel Hall; sister, Brittney Myhan (Kyle); numerous niec­es, nephews, and cousins.

Anna graduated from Col­bert County High School.

Shelia Ann Preston, 68

Shelia Ann Preston, 68, of Tuscumbia, AL passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2026. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026 from 11 am-12 pm at Col­bert Memorial Chapel with a graveside service to follow at 12 pm in Colbert Memo­rial Gardens. Brother Gregg Woodard will be officiating.

She loved music, dancing, and an excellent homemak­er. Shelia loved her family and was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Thomas and Katy Tucker; daughter, Misty Dawn Pres­ton; brothers, J.T., Roy, and Donald Tucker; and grand­daughter, Harlie Grissom.

She is survived by her son, Doug Preston; broth­ers, Troy Tucker (Janet) and Ronald Tucker (Teresa); sisters, Mattie Lee Tatum (Tillman), Helen Marie Coker, and Judy Raper; grandchildren, Gavin Mc­Dougal (Symone), Macy Preston, and Draven LeFan; great grandchildren, Axton McDougal, Brilee Williams, and Kohen Montgomery.

Pallbearers will be Troy Tucker, Travis Tucker, Da­vid Howell, Charlie Adams, Roy Lynn Tucker, Mi­chael Adams, Josh Thrash­er, and Austin Thrasher.

Beverly Jean Ragan, 77

Beverly Jean Ragan, age 77, of Cherokee, passed away on July 6, 2026, at Helen Keller Hospi­tal. A private service will be held at a later date.

She was born in West Virginia, but lived most of her life in Cherokee, AL She was a loving mother and grandmother. She en­joyed going to Tunica and shopping at thrift stores. She loved treating and car­ing for all of her animals.

She is survived by her loving husband, Frank Ra­gan; children, Chris Kryson (Jody), Brad Ragan, Billy Kryston, Melanie Robbi­nette (Donald); brother, Randy Blevins; sister, Con­nie McDonald; grandchil­dren, Austin Chapman, Britt Chapman (Courtney), Chris Kryston (Haley), Cynthia Scott (Gary), Mila Allen (Mike), Haley Howard (Jacob), Michelle Kryston, Seth Ragan (Brynli), Levi Ragan, Audrey Kryston; 16 great-grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James & Ethel Blevins; broth­ers, Jerry Blevins, Bob Blevins, and Larry Blevins.

Crittenden, Sr., 86

Leon Frank Critten­den, Sr. age 86, of Muscle Shoals, passed away on July 6, 2026, at Cypress Cove Nursing Home. The visitation will be 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Morrison Funeral Home in Tuscum­bia. The service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the chap­el with Bro. Bruce Blan­kenship officiating. The burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Tuscumbia.

Mr. Crittenden served his country in the U.S. National Guard. He at­tended River Road Church of Christ and was also a member of the Lions Club.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Files Crit­tenden; children, Leon Crittenden, Jr. (Angela), Darrel Crittenden (Crystal); brother, Robert Crittenden (Alice); grandchildren, Alex Crittenden (Punya), Nicole Betancourt (Daniel), Brett Crittenden (Jessica), Courtney Chapin (Chris), Braden Crittenden, Eli Abernathy; great-grand­children, Zoya Crittenden, Cooper, Liam, Maddox, and Madelyn Betancourt, Lilian Crittenden, Ash­lyn and Adley Maddox.

He was preceded in death by his parents, David Albert & Maudie (Lewis) Critten­den; and brothers, JD, Bil­ly Joe, Harold Floyd, Ar­nold, and John Crittenden.

The pallbearers will be Alex Crittenden, Brett Crittenden, Braden Critten­den, Eli Abernathy, Daniel Betancourt, and Scott Shaw.

Norris Quinton Crow, 90

Mr. Norris Quinton Crow passed away on Wednes­day, July 8, 2026. The visita­tion will be 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 12, 2026, at Morrison Funeral Home in Tuscumbia. His funeral will follow 3:00 p.m. in the chap­el with Bro. Larry Smart and Bro. Davy Kincaid officiating. The burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Tuscumbia.

Mr. Quint was born on March 13, 1936, in Tisho­mingo, MS to Sid and Ada Mae Crow. He moved with his parents at age 12 to Okla­homa to live and work on his uncle’s 750-acre farm. He en­joyed farm life very much. He moved back to Mississippi to live with Sister Leck and fin­ish high school. While he was there, he enjoyed spending time with his twin nieces Peg­gy and Patsy who were young­er than him and seemed more like sisters than nieces. After high school in 1957, Quint moved to Texas to work in the oil industry with his brother Horris. He remained there for 9 years. He also worked as a police officer in Texas. In 1968, he moved to Tuscumbia and lived with his sister Mer­ror and found a job at Reyn­olds Aluminum. In 1975, he met and married Gloria Kim­brough. They had a wonder­ful life and built a new house in the Florence area in 1977. Gloria became ill with can­cer and passed away in 2013.

Mr. Quint gave his heart and soul to the Lord Jesus and became a devoted member of Calvary Baptist Church in Tuscumbia where he found the love of a wonderful church family who embraced him with kindness and where he learned to serve the Good Lord. He met a wonderful companion and friend in Von Horton in 2022 who has been by his side taking care of him and making every day good for him. He enjoyed every minute he spent with his family, church family, and friends, whom he loved dearly. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, his wife, Glo­ria, his brothers, Lamoise, Myres, and Horris, also sis­ters, Lettress (Leck) and Merror; sons, Rex, Phillip, Boyce; and grandson, Alan.

He is survived by his daughter, Carol; four grand­children, Jessica, John, Tara, Jennifer; and sev­eral nieces and nephews.

The pallbearers will be Ricky Pruitt, Billy Pruitt, Da­vid Belue, Alan Daniel, Mat­thew Jones, Joe Brazelton, Farrell Dawson, and Alan Nix. The honorary pallbearers will be Mr. Quint’s Sunday School, Don Wallace, Fred Pend­ergrass, Harlon King, Jerry Kirchner, and Sam McClure.

Carolyn Sue Hamm, 82

Carolyn Sue Hamm, 82 of Florence passed away Saturday July 11, 2026. Her visitation will be Monday July 13th from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Morrison Funeral Home, Central Heights. Her service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm with Kenny Baskins of­ficiating. Burial will follow at Rhodesville cemetery.

Mrs. Hamm was pre­ceded in death by her husband, Harold Hamm; parents, Margaret Chris­tine Baskins Wilbanks and Mack Edward Wilbanks; brother, Wayne Wilbanks; and grandchildren, Dustin Hamm and David Hamm.

She is survived by her sons, Mike Hamm (Susie), Mickey Hamm (Carol), and David Hamm (Court­ney); brother, Todd Wil­banks; sister in law, Kathy Wilbanks; grandchildren, Samantha, Michael, John, Lucas, and Eli; great grand­children, Macey, Mason, Collins, Kingston, Jackson, and Hudson; great great grandchildren, Oaklynn and Grayson; and spe­cial friend, Julie Hamm.

Pallbearers will be Michael Hamm, John Hamm, Lucas Hamm, Eli Hamm, Mason Taras­cou, and Darryl Baskins.

Honorary pallbear­ers will be Kenneth Sisk and Harold Baskins.

Sean Tyler Smith, 34

Sean Tyler Smith, age 34, lovingly known as “Cave Man”, passed away on July 10, 2026, from in­juries sustained in a motor vehicle accident on July 2, 2026. A memorial visi­tation will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at Morrison Funer­al Home in Tuscumbia.

Sean was preceded in death by his Grannie, Pau­line Holmes; his great Aunt SueSue, and his Aunt Missy,

He is survived by his par­ents, Meredith and Joshua Peake of Tookiedoo, South Carolina; his son, Tyler of Clarksville, Tennessee; his sister, Sheleigha (Juan); his Maw-Maw, Patricia Sinclair; his Aunt Judy; his Great-Aunt Janice; his nieces, Milena and Wil­low; his nephews, Benicio and Leonardo; Joe Wood; and numerous cousins, and extended family members who will miss him dearly.

Sean was born in Shef­field, Alabama, where he spent the early years of his childhood before moving to South Carolina with his family. He graduated from Lugoff-Elgin High School in 2010. Later, he returned to the Tr-Cities area, where he remained until his passing.

As a registered organ donor, Sean’s final act of generosity will continue to bless others with the price­less gifts of life and hope. His legacy will live on through those whose lives he touched, both during his lifetime and through this selfless decision to give others a second chance.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Huntsville Hospital for the compassionate care they provided Sean during his final days. They also wish to thank the staff in the STI­CU Family Waiting Area and Legacy of Hope for the comfort, kindness, and sup­port they gave the family.

McClung, 81

Betty Marie McClung, 81, of Leighton, passed away Saturday, July 11, 2026.

Betty is preceded in death by her daughter, Loree Nicholson; parents, William Moore and Dilla Williams; sister, Kathy Rostin; and aunt, Sue Garner (Charles).

She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Dean McClung; children, One­al Swann (Nikki), Tracy Looney, and Raymond A. McClung; brother, Ken­neth Moore (Becky); sis­ters, Jerry Swann (Gil­bert) and Janon Benson (Bobby); grandchildren, Dustin Swann (Tiffany), Jaycey Morrison (Mi­chael), Kassie Robertson (Jason), Kallie Looney, Kyle Smith, Kody Smith, Kolby Smith (Alex), and Dean McClung, Jr.; great – grandchildren, Emmalyn Swann and Titan Swann.

Betty adored her family and it never mattered what problems she may be fac­ing; she was always con­cerned with how her kids and grandchildren were. She also loved baking and teaching her grandchil­dren and great – grand­children to cook. After retiring from her career in education, she spent 16 years driving over the road with her husband through all the continental United States, including Alaska.

He is survived by his wife, Kelly Whitehurst; children, Kristina White­hurst, Kailey Whitehurst, Austin Lee, Skylar Lee, Robert Palmer, Caleb Dunaway; parents, Ken­neth & Kathy Whitehurst; one brother, four sisters; and three grandchildren.
