Harold Eugene Rose, 91

Harold Eugene Rose, 91, of Tuscumbia, Alabama went to be with his Lord and Savior, on Wednes­day, April 29th, 2026, at his residence. He was a member of Calvary Bap­tist Church in Tuscumbia, Alabama. He was a grad­uate of Lynn High School and received his B.S. from Auburn University and completed his master’s at Mississippi State Univer­sity. He taught at Choc­taw County High School, served as Alabama Co-op Extension Agent in Cull­man, then moved to Tus­cumbia, where he served as Assistant Coordinator for Alabama Co-Op Exten­sion Service for 30 years.

Visitation will be from 12-2 pm on Sunday, May 3rd, 2026, in the chapel of Freeman Funeral Home, Waynesboro, Mississippi. A celebration of life will follow at 2 pm. Burial will be at Mt. Zion Cem­etery in the Aquilla Com­munity. Officiating will be his grandson, Matthew Rose, minister at Cal­vary Fellowship Church of Florence, Alabama.

Harold was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Matthews Rose, daugh­ter Tammy Rose, parents Dora Cleo Byram Rose, and Preston Eugene Rose (Jack), brother, Terry Rose.

He is survived by his children: son, Timothy Rose of Tuscumbia, AL, son Mark Rose (Wendy) of Muscle Shoals, AL, daughter Machelle Rose Ballard of Athens, AL, grandchildren: Matthew Rose (Anna Beth), Nicole Watson, Gabriel Rose (Al­lison), Loderic Rose, Me­lissa Norton (Drew), Ryan Ballard (Brandi), Heather Reid (Heath), Abby Elliot (Bradley). Great grand­children: Evie Rose, Har­vey Rose, Lilla Norton, Easton Norton, Boone Norton, Tristan Rose, Isa­bella Rose, Sophia Crowe, Harper Belle Rose, Mav­erick Rose, Jackson El­liott, Riley Elliott, Ken­nedy Reid, Adaline Reid.

Pallbearers will be Ran­dy Smith, Bradley El­liot, Josh Matthews, Tim Balentine, David Mat­thews, and Patrick Farris.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Alabama Hospice of the Shoals, Brothers Keeper, and all the spe­cial ladies who helped us. Thank you for your love and compassion.

Harold was a wonderful father, child, and broth­er. Anyone who knew him was touched by his generosity and ability to make others feel valued. He was Pawpaw to eight grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren, who adored him. He taught them so much by his Godly example every day. He was generous, kind, and loving to everyone who was part of his life. His memory will live in all our hearts, and he will never cease to be cherished by us all.

Brenda Lee Thomason, 65

Brenda Lee Thomason, 65, of Tuscumbia, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2026. No services are scheduled at this time.

Brenda was a member of Cottontown Baptist Church. A loving mother and grand­mother, she had a servant’s heart and never turned away anyone who needed help. Brenda loved to be outside, gardening and enjoying her flowers. She was a gifted piano player, able to play back a piece after hearing it just one time. At any time, if you walked into her house, you could hear her pound­ing out a tune. Brenda had a great laugh, which she shared often with those she loved. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Mansell and Mamie Dick­ens; and brother, JJ Dickens.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Junior Thomason; children, Tre Thomason and Whitney Thomason; sib­lings, Sue Mansell, Danny Mansell, Steve Mansell, Joe Dickens, and Shane Dick­ens; granddaughters, Haven, Leah, and Nina; and numer­ous nieces and nephews.

Rebecca Jan Cochran

Davis, 62

Jan Cochran Davis, 62, passed away Monday, April 27, 2026. A private service will be held for the family.

She enjoyed riding and attending to her horses. Jan was preceded in death by her mother, Louise Cochran.

She is survived by her hus­band, Keith Davis; children, Cody, Ty and Seth Davis; fa­ther, Jack Cochran; brothers, Randy and Jimmy Cochran; sister, Judy Willingham.

Jimmie Doris Alexander

Davis, 82

Jimmie Doris Alexander Davis, 82, of Muscle Shoals, passed away Monday, April 27, 2026. Visitation will be at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia, on Friday, May 1, from 11 until 1 p.m. The funeral service will imme­diately follow in the funeral home chapel with Michael South officiating. Interment will be at Glendale Cemetery.

Jimmie loved God, her family, and had an unbreak­able bond with her siblings. She loved big and loud and she loved only one man for 60 years. She retired from Colbert County Schools as a bus driver and was a mem­ber of East Colbert Church of Christ. She is preceded in death by her parents, Price and Elizabeth Alexander; brothers, Tom Alexander and William Alexander; and sister Linda Sue Cobb.

She is survived by her husband, Robert L. “Bobby” Davis, Jr.; children, Robert L. “Robby” Davis III (Pau­la), William Davis (Cath­ia Ann), and Tonda Neal (Tim); brother Phillip Alex­ander (Kay); sisters, Lavera White and Carolyn Davis; grandchildren, Josh Waldrep (Haylee); Jordan Davis, Macy Davis, Erin McIntyre (Conner), Emily Gonzalez (Edwin), Andrew Neal (Bre­anna), Cody Kidwell (Eliza­beth), and Kimberly Mitchell (Thomas); great-grandchil­dren, Charlotte, Oakleigh, Paisley, Lexi Kate, Julian­na, Izzy, Conleigh, Ellie, Zander, Millie, Levi, Co­hen, Lawson, and Elijah.

The family gives a spe­cial thank you to Killen Police, Killen Fire, Air Evac, Life Guard, and the doctors and nurses at Huntsville Hospital STICU.

Kay Frances Ward

Stegall, 88

Kay Frances Ward Ste­gall, 88, passed away on April 29, 2026, at her home in Tuscumbia, Alabama. She was born in Humboldt, Ten­nessee, on January 24, 1938. Kay spent most of her life in the Shoals area of North Al­abama and was married for 68 years to the Reverend Dr. Robert H. Stegall, who pre­ceded her in death in 2023.

Kay graduated from Hum­boldt High School and later earned a degree in Journalism from the University of North Alabama, graduating magna cum laude. Throughout her life, she was deeply involved in a variety of roles: minis­ter’s wife, homemaker, and office manager in the medi­cal field, working for several physicians and specialists.

Kay was active in her com­munity. She belonged to the Tuscumbia Civitan Club and Pilot Club. One of her great­est joys was teaching pottery to youth at Camp Courage, an annual event held at the Helen Keller Birthplace. She was an artist renowned for her hand-crafted pottery, displaying her works at Fid­dledee D shop in Tuscumbia. She was a talented musician, serving as choir director at First Christian Church in Florence, Alabama. In 1983, she was honored as the Choir Director Emeritus. Kay was also a writer of numerous sto­ries and children’s books. She provided leadership in many ways, notably serving as Regional Moderator for the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), among other roles.

Kay is survived by her children, Robert Patterson Stegall (Mary Ann), Mary­jane Stegall Hean (George), and Jennifer Diane Sun (Wel­lington). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kevin Hean, Caroline Hean Dyky (Igor), Justin Sun (Andrea), and Christopher Sun, along with two great-grandchil­dren, Addison and Annalise.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fran­ces Driver and Earnest K. Ward; and siblings, James K. Ward, Jane W. Thom­as, and Marsha Ann Driver.

The celebration of life service will be held at First Christian Church in Florence on Sunday, May 17, at 2 p.m., with Da­vid Chambers officiating.

Archie Keith Aycock, 66

Archie Keith “Jaybird” Aycock, 66, of Tuscumbia, passed away on Wednes­day, April 29, 2026. Visita­tion will be Saturday, May 2, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel with Billy Myrick officiating. Interment will be in Greenview Me­morial Park, Florence.

Keith was preceded in death by his wife, Gwen­dolyn Kaye Tippet Aycock; parents, Archie Lester and Louise B. Aycock; broth­er, Lester Wayne Aycock; brother-in-law, David Hand; grandparents, Archie Ray and Ora B. Aycock and Harvey L. and Elmar R. Bailey; lifelong friend, Jeff Mayfield; and his children’s foster mother, Sheila Davis.

Keith is survived by his children, Amanda Kaye Leonard (Adam) and Ar­chie Kyle Aycock (Mindy); grandchildren, Jonathan Aaron Leonard, Jace Aidan Leonard, Adalyn Kaye Leon­ard, Danni Leonard, and Maebry Ann Aycock; sis­ters, Shelia L. Barrett (Hal) and Lisa K. Hand Hodge (Gary); the foster family of his children, David Davis, Ashley Tingle, and Shelby Ashby; and three uncles and two aunts, Barbara King (Wayne), Kenneth Bailey, and Jimmy Bailey (Lyla).

Special thanks to Ni­cole and Jonathan Landers and Bridget and Joey Mur­phy for all the help you have given Keith through the years. Also, very spe­cial thanks to the staff at Terrance Manor Nursing Home for the uncondition­al love and care of Keith.

Carolyn Jean Bourland

Kimbrough, 76

Carolyn Jean Bourland Kimbrough, 76, of Muscle Shoals, passed away on Fri­day, May 1, 2026. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 4, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. A graveside ser­vice will follow at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens, Flor­ence, beginning at 11:45 a.m. with Jeff Beech officiating.

Carolyn worked as a bank teller at Bank Independent for several years, then as church secretary at High­land Park Baptist Church, where she was a member. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Kimbrough; and parents, Lois and Augusta Bourland.

Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Joy Hayes (Scott); brother, Jim Bourland (Tere­sa); granddaughter, Jordan; and kitties, Ross and Lil Bit.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

The family offers spe­cial thanks to Carolyn’s wonderful caregivers and the staff of Alabama Hospice of the Shoals.

Freida Mae Senkbeil

Pace, 81

Freida Mae Senkbeil Pace, 81, passed away peacefully Friday Morning, April 24, 2026 at Mitch­ell Hollingsworth NRC in Florence. She was born May 13, 1944, in Hack­leburg, Franklin County.

Preceded in Death by her parents Carl T. Senkbeil and Aubrey Lou Lawler Senkbeil; Infant Daugh­ter, Cynthia Yvonne Pace (1961). Son, Scott Edward Pace (2006) of Muscle Shoals; Sister, Reba Faye Armistead of Russellville.

Survived by her daugh­ter, Susan Renay Wiggins and husband Albert H. of Woodstock Ga; Grandson: Zachary Wiggins and wife, Laura of Acworth Ga. Ar­riving in May their daughter Natlie Renay; Granddaugh­ter: (Scotty’s Daughter) Amanda Pace Medina and her husband Tyler of Rus­sellville; Great Grandson: Chance Pennington of Rus­sellville; Brother: Carl Lee Senkbeil and wife Lynda of Mt. Juliet Tn; Nieces: Lynn Armistead of Phil Campbell, Pam Gandy, Tammy Jack­son of Russellville, and Lara Craig of Mt. Juliet Tn; Cous­ins: Patsy Lawler Mosser of Killen, and Wanda Lawler Martin of Collierville Tn.

Memorial Service and Visitation will be held at Colbert Memorial Chapel 700 Hwy 43 Tuscumbia, AL. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. with a Memori­al Service to follow at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2026. Presiding over service will be Terry Jones of Spring Hill Tn. Residing Minister of Berea Church of Christ, Columbia Tn. Mr. Jones was former Minister of Lit­tleville Church of Christ.

Littleville Community is where she grew up and at­tended school, church, and reared her two children. Af­ter the children were grown up, she moved to Muscle Shoals and resided until 2020. Frieda is a graduate of Russellville High School. She had the pleasure of be­ing employed by the Colbert County Board of Education from 1972 to 2014. She be­gan her career as a teacher’s aide at Littleville Elementary School under the Title One Reading Lab Program. She also served in Spring Valley, Cherokee, Leighton, Colbert Heights, and the Alternative School. Frieda also worked with special needs children in the County System. Her final years were served as the Secretary of Colbert Heights High School. She truly enjoyed per profession.
