Jan. 17 CCSO arrest reports

The following arrests were made by the Colbert County Sheriff’s Office in recent days:

— On Jan. 2, Derek R. Ayers, 45, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. According to Deputy Christopher Miller’s report, he initiated a traffic stop for a vehicle that allegedly made an improper turn out of a median. Miller observed small crystals on the center console and asked the occupants to step out. He observed the driver try to shove a small, clear baggie between the seat and the console. The baggie was retrieved. It and the console had a crystal-like substance that tested positive for methamphetamine. Multiple baggies were found in the driver’s wallet, as well as a Suboxone strip.

— On Jan. 4, Clesha L. Seiber, 42, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, second-degree possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance. According to Deputy Hunter White’s report, he conducted a traffic stop for failure to maintain lane. The driver, who had active warrants with Russellville Police, was removed, and a pipe containing burnt marijuana was allegedly in plain view. A search of the vehicle yielded a loaded syringe in a black purse containing a clear, crystal-like substance identified as methamphetamine. A used syringe was also located. A plastic container containing a large amount of a green leafy substance identified to be marijuana  was found in the back seat.
