Nov. 8 arrests

The following arrests were made by the Colbert County Sheriff’s Office in recent days:

­- On Oct. 7, Terri A. Smith, 31, was arrested and charged with illegal possession of prescription drugs. According to Deputy Christopher Miller’s report, he made a traffic stop for an expired tag and the registered owner of the vehicle having an active warrant with CCSO. Smith allegedly admitted to having Suboxone without the prescription with her. A search of the vehicle yielded two pill bottles not belonging to her and a THC vape.

– On Oct. 12, Timothy E. Scott, 39, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance. According to Deputy Shayn Lindblom’s report, he recognized Scott as a passenger in a vehicle while patrolling the area of Lagrange Road as someone with warrants with CCSO. After conducting a traffic stop, Scott was allegedly found to have a Suboxone strip in his pocket.

– On Oct. 20, Matthew S. Hall, 31, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and second-degree possession of marijuana. According to Deputy Hunter White’s report, he was advised of a reckless driver traveling south on Highway 43. A traffic stop was made for failure to maintain lane. After making a stop, the odor of marijuana was allegedly coming from the vehicle. The driver handed over a valve with a green leafy substance identified as marijuana. A search of the vehicle yielded a used syringe and a spoon and a piece of rolled paper containing heroin.

– On Oct. 20, Justin L. Triplett was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. According to Deputy Hunter White’s report, a search warrant was administered in the 800 block of Jones Road. Multiple stolen items were allegedly recovered. While being arrested, a search of Triplett’s person yielded a baggie with residue used to store methamphetamine.
