Nov. 16 arrest reports
The following arrests were made by the Colbert County Sheriff’s Office:
— On Nov. 7, Kevin M. Gibson was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and giving false identification to a law enforcement officer. According to Deputy Hunter White’s affidavit, he was patrolling traffic when he allegedly observed a vehicle traveling 55 mph in a 45 zone and fail to signal while changing lanes. The vehicle’s tag came back as expired. A traffic stop was initiated on Second Street near Ford Road. The driver gave a false name and did not produce any identification. He admitted to having a used needle said to be for diabetes, but was filled with a liquid identified as heroin. Gibson then gave his real name and was arrested. He had active warrants with four agencies.
— On Nov. 6, Virgil L. Holland was arrested and charged with drug trafficking. According to Deputy Carter Reed’s affidavit, members of multiple agencies executed a search warrant in the 600 block of South Mulberry Street in Tuscumbia. Holland was discovered and detained, while a search of the premises yielded $2,865 in cash, 70 grams of cocaine, crack cocaine, 10 grams of marijuana, an AR-15, .38 revolver, .22 pistol, 9mm pistol and a .45 Derringer pistol
